Flower Notes: 10-40cm tall; rosette leaves, lanceolate, with ciliate margins, otherwise glabrous (Sempervivum montanum has leaves thickly covered with glands and Sempervivum arachnoideum has leaves with glands on margins and leaf tips covered by cobwebby hairs); petals mostly 12, 8-12mm long, violet. 1000-3000m, flowering time 7-8. Not common.
