Walking Notes: Schwarzsee to Furgg on foot then cable-car to Trockener Steg. Walked to beyond Gandegg Hut, descent to Zermatt
Location: On the path between Trockener Steg and the Gandegg Hut
Flower Notes: 5-20cm tall; leaves palmately divided, glabrous or hairy; flowers first white, then pink, with calyx-like tepals red-brown, pilose outside (in all other species almost whitish pilose). Scree, talus, rocky crevices; humid, stony soil poor in calcium. 2300-3200m - sometimes up to 4000m. flowering time 7-8. Not common.
